It's been a long time

Can't believe how long it has been since I have updated.

We had 10 deer coming in for corn this winter. This one had an injured left rear leg and generally would come in alone. It was slow walking, but still could run pretty good on three legs. We haven't seen it for 3 months, so don't know if it is OK or not.

Helped a friend make her first quilt for a Grand baby that was her youngest daughter's first child. She did a good job on it. Turned out really cute.

I made a quilt for her daughter's baby too. It was made with some fabric that I got from another guild member. We bring in fabrics we don't want and give them to whomever can use them for free. I love the way this turned out.

This quilt is one is a charity quilt that I did. Made with 5" squares that I had. All the fabrics in this one were in my stash. I'm sure someone is loving it.

I started another hand piecing project this year. It is called Millifiore and is a block of the month type project. Each hex in the quilt is pieced before the hexes are joined. This is the first medallion (block) for this quilt. It measures 36 x 33. Each medallion will be different color groups. Most of the people are using regular fabrics and fussy cutting. They are turning out beautifully. For mine I decided to use batiks, and I'm really happy with how this one is turning out. Just finished it yesterday and will start the next one today.
